The Mornington Railway was formed in 1984 to restore and operate the Baxter - Mornington line as a tourist railway. In February 1991 after many years of effort by a dedicated group of volunteers, approval was granted by the Governor in Council to commence line operations subject to major line restoration work.

Trains now run between Moorooduc Station and the new Mornington Station. A courtesy bus runs between Mornington Station and the township.

Trains operate on the first 3 Sundays of each month and most public holidays from 11.00am to 4.00pm.

Location: Trains depart from Moorooduc and Mornington, which are approx. 55km South East of Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula.
