| The Tramway Museum Society of Victoria displays historical trams from Melbourne's Cable Trams through to the latest "Z" class trams.
The Museum is located in country
Victoria on the Melbourne side of Kilmore at the
former Bylands railway station. This railway
was once an alternative line from Melbourne to
Bendigo via Heathcote in the
lovely central highlands of Victoria. The
Museum has a comprehensive collection of cable
trams that ran in Melbourne until 1940 as well
as a specimen of most classes of electric
trams that have run in Victoria over the
last 150 years. As well as trams, a collection
of buses from the former tramway board is also
onsite. Some trams are on loan to
other organisations and some are displayed at
the Melbourne Tram Museum @ Hawthorn Depot . ( see
the ATR links Page)
